JF Services Carpet/Tile & Grout Technician

No experience necessary, but must have transportation. Experience with Carpet/Tile & Grout cleaning and working with Truck Mount Units is a plus.

JF Services will provide all training needed in order to ensure the Tech is ready for the job.

 Job Duties

 The first 90 days you will work as a Tech Assistant. It is our hope that after 90 days or before you will be able to move into the role above. Ensuring quality work is typically the main concern of a carpet cleaning technician. Satisfied customers normally generate more work through word-of-mouth referrals, while dissatisfied ones can significantly diminish the reputation and income of a carpet cleaner and her company in the same way. This position requires the technician to give potential customers a firm estimate of the job cost and explain the cleaning solutions to be used and estimated drying times. Through JF Services the Tech must schedule a time for the service that is agreeable to the customer. Tech must be prepared to answer questions regarding refunds and point out stains that may be difficult or impossible to remove. The job requires the Tech to keep accurate customer and inventory records.

Work Conditions

 A carpet cleaning technician is normally entering a home or business location for the first time when the Tech arrives to inspect the premises. His/Her attire should be clean and neat. JF Services will provide a work Shirt. Kakis Pants/Shorts will be worn with the shirt provided. Work hours are typically Monday –Friday (8Am-5PM) Overtime will be paid accordingly. During peak season hours are long and include evenings and weekends to accommodate customer needs. All vehicles and equipment will be clean and maintained at all times. The physical strength to operate cleaning machines is necessary.

Educational Requirements

 There are no educational requirements for this position.  A good command of the English language is commonly required to effectively communicate with customers both orally and in writing. Knowledge of cleaning solutions or techniques gained through previous employment is desirable.

Salary and Advancement Opportunities

 Hourly rate of $13 ($104 per day, If there is no work for the day there will be no pay for that day).

90 Day Probationary Period- After 90 days your hourly rate may be increased to $15.

 Service Tech will be paid every Friday. Work week is Saturday –Friday.

Opportunities for promotion will be available.

Tech will be working as a Contract Labor (1099) there are no Medical Benefits offered. As JF Services grows opportunities as a full time employee will be offered.

JF Services Carpet Technician
JF Services is looking to hire a Tech (Contract Laborer-1099) with experience in Carpet cleaning (Tile & Grout cleaning is a plus). Tech must have experience working with Truck Mount Units.
Since carpets and their underlying pads are made from a wide range of natural and synthetic materials, a carpet cleaning technician must be able to determine the content of carpet fibers and padding before they can prepare her estimate or perform the job. Tech needs to be aware of what cleaning solutions work best on specific stains as well as be knowledgeable about what cleaning fluids may be harmful to the floor coverings. The job requires skills in preparing estimates and clearly defining the terms of her contracts with her customers. Good math aptitude is necessary to calculate room dimensions and accurately calculate invoices. Training will be provided.
